This week, well it wasn't my week. We got some news about the ship that my hubby is attached to, and now we are playing the Hurry Up and Wait game. So needless to say me and my emotional eater self had some oreos this week, more than I should have, but I threw away the package before it was completely finished.. And didn't work out every day like I planned. But towards the end of the week I was able to get myself back on track, kept up with my wii active 30 day challenge and moved on. Stress is not a fun thing for me, but it comes with this life and I know that. On Friday nite I took a recipe from an email I got and made chicken scampi, it was very yummy, and only about 450 cals with pasta and all (I think). With tomorrow being Valentine's day, and me not being a big huge fan of the day, I don't have to worry about too many chocolates and all that jazz. Hubby and I are going to make steaks on the good ole george foreman grill and have some steamed veggies and maybe some wine and just make it a quite nite just the 3 of us. Seeing as last year for Valentine's day I found out I was pregnant, I'm not sure anything I do will be able to top that.
My goals for this week, continue with the 30 day Wii Active Challenge, maybe for V-day I'll get the more workouts LOL. Increase water, since I'm only getting a bare amount. Find some recipes for some healthy snacks and make them. When I go to the store I plan on picking up some more fresh fruit and veggies (or maybe even some frozen ones) and use them as snacks to derail my cookies I had this week. With Lent coming up this week, I need to plan my choice to forgo, which I'm thinking candy will be a good choice. I did it last year, and it was quite hard, with my sweet tooth. But I still have a few days until Ash Wednesday. Hope all my #mamavation mamas and sistas have a great week.

Throw those cookies away. Don't buy them again. If they are your weakness, it's better just to not even look at them. My biggest problem is Doritos...so I never buy them.
Hope you have a wonderful Valentines day!! XXOO
good for you for throing the oreos away! I know that can be a hard thing, but you took the first step and did it!
totally agree with leah! Dont even keep them in the house. Only buy healthy snacks. When you go to eat at least its healthy. Every day is a new day. Keep it up! :)
Great job throwing the cookies away! There's no way I could do that! That's an amazing amount of will power you've shown! Congrats!
I have a free-for-all policy with fruits & veggies that you may want to adopt. When life gets stressful I can emotionally eat all of the fruits and veggies I want, but no junk :)
Happy Valetine's Day!
LOL, besides the cookies, great job on everything that you have strived to make yourself healthy. It happens, I have a weakness for certain ice creams and can eat in one sitting, sad but true. Keep up the workouts!
I had great luck not craving sweets this week by drinking more water! That might help. Sounds like you're already on track to have an awesome week!
It's important to recognize trigger foods. I never buy them because I cannot resist them - seriously.
You're going to have an awesome week - I can feel it!
Your big success this week was getting back on track after an emotional rollercoaster complete with EVIL Oreos. What kind of snacks do you want for health? Easy are apples with peanut butter if you are looking at produce. Maybe you can do a blog post asking everyone for their fave healthy snacks for ideas if you need it.
Like the others said, don't let them in the house. I have the same problem, just have to stop buying it! I now shop FULL. I can't believe how easier it is to shop and not crave junk when I am full.
Way to get back on track!!! That is a challenge and you accomplished this!! YEA you!! Keep focused and amazing things will happen!
Good job on throwing those cookies away! I can't even have treats in the house right now. I don't trust myself!
My fave snacks are grapes, apples, yogurt w/ peanut butter, homemade granola & raisins. Easy stuff that I can grab when I need it.
Good job getting back on track! and Go Herd! (My hubs has a master's degree thru Marshall.)
Yay on throwing the Oreos away! Hubs & the kidlet would never let me do that here! Good job! This week will be a great week! If you're on twitter, I can help remind you to drink (@mentallyinked). You can do it!!
i did that last week with a tub of cake frosting... took 2 spoonfuls and then threw it away.
i have to get back on track this week myself..
i am @tina529 on twitter, just in case you know where to find me.
xoxoxo
Way to go with getting back on track with all the stuff going on in your life. Keep your head up and your shoulders back ~ you are worth the struggle. Hugs.
I'm so glad you just threw them away! I have found that if things aren't in the house to begin with then I'm not going to eat them......I like the free for all idea of fruits and veggies!
Lent! Doh! (smacking head.) What a great way to jump start better eating. I'll be joining in with you. (While I am a believer, I have never gone without for Lent.) I hear you about the emotional eating - it must be hard when you are a wife to a military man. I do it and I'm sure my stress from hubby's job isn't nearly as tough. You can do it though, kick some wii butt! ;)
Yes, stress can really derail you, what's important is that you got back on track. I actually prefer having a quiet dinner with the family than going out and lining up with the crowd which what actually happened last Sunday. Needless to say, we still had a good time but next year, I vow NOT to eat outside anymore. Great job on the EA Sports Active! Keep it up! --- @ImAHotMom at Young And Fabulous
One of the easiest things to do when a week starts out rought is to say "I'll start again Monday" and write off the rest of the week. You didn't do that. You got back into it, and that's AWESOME!

Looks like we were in the same boat about eating and thinking about Lent. oh and I have to laugh because my sister got more workouts game for a valentines gift from her hubby! Lots of luck this week!
I feel your pain on emotional eating, but I am really proud of you for turning it around right away! here's to a better week!!
Way to go getting back on track after the first of the week! I do buy treats for the others to have occasionally, but keep them in the freezer where I can't get to them so easily, lol...
